ANALYSIS: It’s getting really lonely on Green Island. Hopefully this won’t ruin my credibility on Rotoballer by saying this, but I would not be shocked if Gerald Green finished ranked higher overall than Kyle Korver by seasons end. Kyle Korver is owned in over 92% of leagues and was drafted in the 5th or 6th round of most drafts. That kind of potential should not be sitting on your waiver wire.

I’ll reiterate what I wrote earlier here . Spoelstra is a smart Head Coach and will regularly rest Wade and Deng throughout the season. On those nights Gerald Green will need to play over 32 minutes a game and will be the unquestioned number 3 option on offense behind Bosh and Dragic. Don’t you dare tell me they will run post ups for Hassan Whiteside.

Even on the nights when both Wade and Deng play I expect Gerald Green to play over 25 minutes a game, and most likely closer to 30. The Heat have ZERO shooting on the perimeter, even with a healthy roster, and as a result they will have to give him the green light from outside. Some nights he might hurt your FG%, but he’s not a turnover machine, and can even chip in a few steals, assists, and rebounds if he feels like putting in the effort that night.
