BALLER MOVE: Target ~90 (Current ADP: 103, QB14)
ANALYSIS: Da Bears franchise Quaterback has the capability of being a top 10 QB this year, and he isn't being drafted like one. I love Jay Cutler and not just because he made some really funny guest appearances in the league. No, I love Jay Cutler because he is currently being drafted in about round 11 and should probably be going higher than that. Some of you may find yourselves saying, but Rek doesn't he constantly get hurt and is often mistake prone? Why would you want him in the 9th round, and even be comfortable with him being your starting Quarterback for the entire year? Well dear reader, I grant you that Jay Cutler hasn't had a great fantasy year since 2010 when he was ranked the 15th best QB in the game. However, over that span from 2011-2013 he averaged 12 games per season and still came close to finishing inside the top 20 at the position each year.
But these are not the reasons I trust Cutler. In fact, they sound more like reasons not to trust him. So what are the reasons TO trust Cutler? The Bears are running a new offensive scheme that he is reportedly responding well to, and he has the best receiving combination in the game in Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery. Not to mention one of if not the best pass catching back in Matt Forte. Throw in the fact that the Bears defense is not what it was a few years ago, and I personally expect Mr. Cutler to find himself in a lot of shootouts. All of this leads to Cutler breaking my top ten QB ranks if he stays healthy this year and he is even someone with top 5 potential. So fill your other positions with studs early, and then know that the man some call "Cutlet" will be there waiting for you when you need him in the later rounds.
