Bobby Witt Jr. Makes Opening Day Roster
3 years agoKansas City Royals shortstop prospect Bobby Witt Jr. won an Opening Day roster spot. The 21-year-old has been on a tear in spring training, slashing .407/.448/.741 with three doubles, two home runs, seven RBI and one stolen base over 10 games. According to MLB Pipeline, he is considered the top overall prospect in all of baseball. While shortstop is Witt's primary position, he is expected to be the team's starting third baseman in 2022 with Adalberto Mondesi occupying shortstop. Witt's draft stock is rising and is currently 15th among all shortstops in the latest RotoBaller rankings.
