3 years agoMinnesota Twins pitcher Tyler Duffey allowed two runs on three hits while striking out one over one inning in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Seattle Mariners. The right-hander was charged with a blown save and tagged with the loss. He surrendered a two-out double to Adam Frazier that plated Julio Rodríguez as the game-tying run. Ty France laced an RBI single off Duffey to give the Mariners the lead. The 31-year-old was given the first save opportunity of the season after the Twins dealt incumbent closer Taylor Rogers to the San Diego Padres on Opening Day. Duffey was solid in 2021, posting a 3.18 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, and 61:28 K: BB over 62 1/3 innings. Despite the blown save, the right-hander will still be in the mix for saves along with Jorge Alcala and recently acquired Emilio Pagan.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
