3 years agoChicago Cubs outfielder Ian Happ (knee) should be able to play in the upcoming series against the Pittsburgh Pirates from April 12-13, according to manager David Ross. Happ was hit on the left kneecap by a pitch on April 9, but X-rays came back negative for any structural damage. The Cubs held him out as a precaution on Sunday and have labeled him as day-to-day. Through two games this year, Happ is 5-for-7 with two doubles and four RBI for the Cubbies. "He's doing all right," Ross said of Happ on April 10. "He says he feels good. Said he's available, but I think just as I'm making out the lineup and stuff last night, assuming there's some soreness, assuming that two days off wouldn't hurt anybody right now."--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
