Josiah Gray Dazzles In Win Against Atlanta
3 years agoWashington Nationals pitcher Josiah Gray (1-1) allowed only one hit and three walks while striking out five across five scoreless innings to earn his first victory of the season in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Atlanta Braves. The 24-year-old rebounded against the defending champs after being blasted for four runs by the New York Mets in his previous start. The right-hander limited the Braves to one hit and fired 50-of-82 pitches for strikes. He owns a 4.00 ERA, 1.56 WHIP, and 10 strikeouts over nine innings in 2022. Gray has a ton of upside and should be rostered in all league formats. His next scheduled start is Monday at home against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
