3 years agoDetroit Tigers infielder Javier Baez (thumb) was scratched from Wednesday's lineup against the Boston Red Sox due to thumb soreness. According to manager AJ Hinch, his thumb was swollen after getting jammed yesterday. "He got treatment all day. Hopefully, it's just a one-day thing." The 29-year-old could return for Thursday's matchup against the Kansas City Royals. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor the situation, but Baez will return to action soon. The former Chicago Cub is slashing .316/.350/.526 with one home run and four RBI over 20 plate appearances in 2022.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
