3 years agoLos Angeles Angels pitcher Griffin Canning (back) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Tuesday. A month ago, he had a setback with his lower back strain while throwing a bullpen session, delaying his 2022 regular season debut. The 25-year-old is competing for a spot in Los Angeles' six-man rotation after missing most of last year with a back issue. He isn't eligible to return from the 60-day injured list until June 1. The right-hander posted a respectable 3.99 ERA and a 56:23 K: BB over 56 1/3 innings in 2020. Canning will continue to work his way from his back issue and remains an IL stash in deep-league formats.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
