Blake Snell Will Throw Side Session Tuesday
3 years agoSan Diego Padres pitcher Blake Snell (groin) is in line to throw a bullpen session Tuesday. He was placed on the 10-day injured list with left adductor tightness. The 29-year-old will miss at least one more turn in the rotation and continues to be day-to-day. On Wednesday, San Diego's top prospect MacKenzie Gore is scheduled to start in Snell's place against the Cincinnati Reds. Gore allowed two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out three over 5 1/3 innings in his previous start against the Braves; the 23-year-old has a ton of upside and is a terrific streamer this week against the woeful Cincinnati Reds.
