Austin Gomber Looks Good Versus Nationals
3 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Austin Gomber held his own versus the Washington Nationals on Wednesday. The 28-year-old went 6 2/3 innings with six strikeouts and only allowed two earned runs in the victory. He allowed an RBI single in the first and a solo blast in the fifth inning to Lane Thomas. However, Gomber was solid on the mound outside of those two situations. He'll take a 3.58 ERA and 1.23 WHIP over 27 2/3 innings into his next start against the San Francisco Giants. This will be a more challenging matchup for Gomber, so fantasy managers should expect a bit of a regression.
