Yu Darvish Picks Up Third Win On Friday
3 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Yu Darvish was solid on Friday, tossing seven strong innings against the Miami Marlins, allowing just two earned runs on five hits and no walks. Darvish struck out three in the Padres' 3-2 win over Miami. Darvish improved to 3-1 on the season and has now posted five quality starts in six games in 2022. He owns a 4.05 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, and a 28:10 K:BB ratio over 33 1/3 innings pitched on the season. His inflated ERA can be credited to his one bad start this season in which he gave up nine runs in 1 2/3 IP to the Giants back on April 12. If that one start is Thanos'd from his numbers, Darvish owns a wonderful 1.71 ERA and 0.82 WHIP on the season. He should remain active in all formats for his next start on Wednesday against the Cubs at home.
