3 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Luis Gil has been optioned to Triple-A on Friday. This doesn't come as a surprise since Gil was only up to make a spot start against the Chicago White Sox on Thursday. The 23-year-old allowed four runs over four innings of work. Now, Gil will head back to the minors and continue to improve his game. Gil has struggled through five starts in the minors this season, but the Yankees are hopeful he can help their big league team at some point in 2022.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
