Nolan Arenado Cooling Off In May
3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals third baseman Nolan Arenado is batting just .207/.254/.448 with three home runs over 16 games in May after a blistering April in which he slashed .375/.444/.681 with five HR over 72 at-bats. Although Arenado's bat has cooled off significantly in May, he has managed to still drive in 12 runs this month, giving him 29 RBI for the season. He is tied for third on the N.L. RBI leaderboard with New York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso heading into action on Wednesday. Despite his recent struggles, Arenado remains a must-start in all formats. As he has shown in May, Arenado can continue to put up excellent counting stats hitting in the middle of the Cardinals' lineup, even while he is slumping.
