3 years agoToronto Blue Jays pitcher Alek Manoah turned in a 3.22 ERA and a 3.80 FIP in 111 2/3 innings last season, striking out 127 batters while walking 40 hitters. It was a breakout rookie campaign for the 24-year-old, who has only gotten better this season. In eight starts spanning 50 innings so far, Manoah has logged a 1.62 ERA and a 2.94 FIP while registering 43 strikeouts compared to just nine walks. He's also continued to limit home runs. After surrendering just 12 homers last season, he's only allowed three during the 2022 season. In his most recent outing, the right-hander allowed just seven hits and one earned run in eight innings against the Cincinnati Reds while striking out four.--Ben Rosener - RotoBaller
