2 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Deven Thompkins has reportedly impressed head coach Todd Bowles during recent practices. "He's quick, he's fast, he's explosive off of the ball, and he's made some good catches," said Bowles. Thompkins recorded 102 receptions for 1,704 yards and ten touchdowns in his final season at Utah State. The ability is there, but he'll need to jump multiple players on the depth chart. The fact Chris Godwin (knee) is going to miss the early part of the season could give Thompkins a window to make an impact. That being said, Thompkins is a player to watch heading into the season.
