Nicolas Batum Expected To Decline Player Option
2 years agoLos Angeles Clippers forward Nicolas Batum is expected to decline his player option for next season. The veteran forward appears ready to decline his $3.3 million option and head to free agency. He started 54 games with the Clippers last season, but has become more of a role player. Batum averaged 8.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, one steal, and 1.2 triples in 24.8 minutes per game. He's not in his prime anymore, but can still be a capable option in the NBA. It sounds like the Clippers have interest in bringing back Batum for next season. Regardless, it's unlikely Batum carries reliable fantasy value wherever he lands.
