Harold Ramirez Gets Two Hits In First Rehab Game
2 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Harold Ramirez (thumb) went 2-for-4 with a walk and a strikeout in his first minor league rehab game for Triple-A Durham on Sunday. Ramirez is on the mend from a fractured right thumb that he suffered in mid-July. Barring a setback on his rehab assignment, he could return to the Rays starting lineup as an outfield regular as early as this week. Before getting hit by a pitch just before the All-Star break, the 27-year-old was having a great season for Tampa, slashing .329/.379/.446 with an .825 OPS, four home runs, 35 RBI, 31 runs scored and three stolen bases in 264 plate appearances over 78 games played. If Ramirez is available on your league's waiver wire, scoop him up now.
