Diontae Johnson, Chase Claypool Return To Practice
2 years agoPittsburgh Steelers wide receivers Diontae Johnson (hip) and Chase Claypool (shoulder) returned to training camp practice on Monday after they sat out the preseason opener against the Seattle Seahawks. Johnson is expecting to play in the second preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Neither injury is serious, and the Steelers have been cautious during training camp with their two starting wideouts. Johnson is the unquestioned No. 1 wideout after his first 1,000-yard campaign in 2021. The 26-year-old is firmly in the WR2 mix, but he could take a step back given Pittsburgh's quarterback situation following Ben Roethlisberger's retirement. Claypool had a disappointing second NFL season and is more of a WR4/5 target late in fantasy drafts.
