Christian Yelich Goes Hitless Against Dodgers
2 years agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich went 0-for-2 with two walks in Monday's 4-0 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Fantasy managers weren't complaining about the two walks, but Yelich has been ice-cold at the plate out of the leadoff spot for the Brew Crew of late. In 12 games in August, he's hitting .159 (7-for-44) with no homers, no RBI and 12 strikeouts in 54 plate appearances. In his last seven games, he's hitless in 25 at bats with eight strikeouts. The 30-year-old left-handed hitter is batting .250/.356/.373 with eight home runs, 35 RBI, 71 runs scored and 16 stolen bases on the season in 408 at-bats. Fantasy managers should probably consider benching him right now until he shows some signs of life with the stick.
