Jo Adell Expected To Return Soon
2 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Jo Adell (thumb) injured his right thumb on Monday night and felt discomfort gripping a baseball on Tuesday, which is why he was held out of the lineup against the Seattle Mariners. However, Adell faced right-hander Michael Lorenzen in a simulated game and hit two home runs. He said he can swing without issues and expects to return soon, but he's waiting for the swelling in his thumb to go down. Adell hasn't done much in his third MLB season in 2022, as he's hitting .227/.276/.356 with four home runs, 15 RBI, 13 runs scored and three stolen bases in 52 games played. In the month of August, he's gone 9-for-40 (.225) with a homer, two RBI and seven runs scored in 14 games.
