2 years agoThe Texas Rangers announced on Wednesday that president Jon Daniels is out as president of baseball operations. General manager Chris Young is now in complete charge of the front office. Daniels has been fired after 17 years leading the organization. The Rangers will have a losing record in 2022 for the sixth year in a row -- the franchise's longest such streak since moving to Texas a half-century ago -- unless the team wins at least 29 of their last 46 games. Manager Chris Woodward was fired in his fourth season with the team two days ago. The moves also come less than nine months after a record offseason spending spree of more than a half-billion dollars. Daniels was the youngest general manager in the majors when he got the job in Texas at age 28 in October of 2005.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
