Phillies Put Brandon Marsh On Injured List
2 years agoThe Philadelphia Phillies placed outfielder Brandon Marsh (ankle) on the 10-day injured list on Thursday with a left ankle sprain. In corresponding moves, the Phillies claimed outfielder Bradley Zimmer off waivers from the Toronto Blue Jays and moved outfielder Bryce Harper (elbow, thumb) to the 60-day injured list. Marsh's injured list stint is retroactive to Aug. 17. The 24-year-old injured himself while leaping at the wall on Tuesday and will miss at least the next 10 days. He's gone 8-for-32 (.250) with no homers, two RBI and two runs scored in his first 12 games in Philly after being acquired from the Los Angeles Angels at the Aug. 2 trade deadline. Marsh isn't a must-stash in mixed fantasy leagues.
