2 years agoNew England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones got off to a shaky start in the second preseason game on Friday against the Carolina Panthers with two three-and-out drives, but he ended on a high note to lead an 81-yard touchdown drive on his final series. He went 4-for-8 for 61 yards passing in the outing. It was a confidence boost after the offense has had a training camp filled with "growing pains" as they adjust to a "new offense." Jones struggled on deep balls in his rookie season, so it was nice to see him hit Nelson Agholor for a 45-yard gain. Offensive line coach Matt Patricia seemed to be the only one calling plays on Friday night, but head coach Bill Belichick will still likely remain involved in the process heading into the regular season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
