2 years agoX-rays came back negative on Chicago Cubs third baseman/first baseman Patrick Wisdom (finger) and he was diagnosed with a strained ring finger. He's day-to-day for now. Wisdom injured his finger while sliding into home plate in the win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday. The 30-year-old will not be in the starting lineup on Sunday against Brewers right-hander Brandon Woodruff. P.J. Higgins will get the start at the cold corner and is hitting eighth against Woodruff. Higgins will be a low-upside DFS play for Sunday's slate. He's hitting .259/.328/.483 with an .811 OPS, six home runs, 20 RBI and 17 runs scored in 116 at-bats for the Cubbies in 2022.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
