Yordan Alvarez Returns To Lineup Sunday
2 years agoHouston Astros outfielder/designated hitter Yordan Alvarez (illness) is back as the designated hitter and is batting third on Sunday against Atlanta Braves right-hander Charlie Morton. Alvarez dealt with shortness of breath on Friday and was hospitalized as a precaution. The 25-year-old left-handed slugger was given the day off on Saturday, but he'll be back in there on Sunday and should be in all starting fantasy lineups in single-year formats. Alvarez is hitting a strong .295/.400/.612 with a 1.012 OPS, 31 home runs, 77 RBI, 76 runs scored and one stolen base in 356 at-bats. He's struggled a bit in August, going 12-for-56 (.214) with a homer, seven RBI and nine runs scored in 17 games played.
