Yasmani Grandal Records Two Hits In Rehab Game
2 years agoChicago White Sox catcher Yasmani Grandal (knee) went 2-for-4 in his first minor league rehab game on Friday night with Triple-A Charlotte. Grandal landed on the injured list this month with a left knee strain, but the injury isn't considered very serious, so he could return to the White Sox's lineup sooner than later. Chicago may not want to rush him back, though, as he's hit just .203/.307/.259 with three home runs, 21 RBI, nine runs scored and a stolen base in 251 at-bats in 2022. Seby Zavala, who has been much better offensively this year, will continue to do the majority of the catching for the Pale Hose until Grandal is deemed healthy enough to return to the big leagues.
