Brandon Marsh Has Big Game In Rehab Outing
2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Brandon Marsh went 3-for-4 with three RBI, three runs scored and a stolen base in his minor league rehab game on Friday night for Triple-A Lehigh Valley, playing in center field and hitting leadoff. Marsh suffered a bone bruise in his left knee and a left ankle sprain earlier this month, but he looks fine now and could rejoin the Phillies as early as Saturday. The 24-year-old should return to an everyday role in center field in Philadelphia once he's reinstated from the injured list, giving him value in deeper mixed fantasy leagues. In 12 games for the Phillies, he's gone 8-for-32 (.250) with no homers, two RBI and two runs scored. In his 93 games for the Los Angeles Angels before being traded, Marsh was slashing .226/.284/.353 with eight long balls, 37 RBI, 34 runs scored and eight stolen bases.
