Brian Robinson Likely To Take Over Lead-Back Role?
2 years agoWashington Commanders rookie running back Brian Robinson taking over as the early-down lead back at some points seems plausible, if not likely, according to The Athletic's Ben Standig. Week 1 is earlier than anyone expected, but it's likely happening with Antonio Gibson moving to a pass-catching role with kick-return duties. The third-rounder continues to rise on cheat sheets for upcoming fantasy drafts, while Gibson's stock continues to fall as a dicey RB3/flex target. The Commanders also have pass-catching back J.D. McKissic in the fold, so Gibson could eventually become just an RB3/4 in PPR leagues this year if Robinson takes over early on.
