Panthers Acquire Laviska Shenault Jr. From Jaguars
2 years agoThe Carolina Panthers acquired wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. from the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday, according to sources. It's unclear what the Panthers shipped to the Jaguars in return. Shenault came on strong for the Jags late last season, but he finished with 63 receptions on 100 targets for 619 yards and no touchdowns in 16 games (10 starts) in his second NFL season. DJ Moore and Robbie Anderson are locked in as Carolina's top two receivers, but Shenault could be an upgrade over Terrance Marshall Jr. out of the slot in his new home. The former second-rounder gives Carolina an added receiving weapon that can be moved all around the formation, including out of the backfield. He'll probably still go undrafted in 12-team leagues, but he's one to keep an eye on in deeper formats.
