Eagles Release Jaquiski Tartt
2 years agoThe Philadelphia Eagles released veteran safety Jaquiski Tartt on Monday, according to a source. Tartt was originally a second-round pick by the San Francisco 49ers in 2015 out of Samford. Before signing with the Eagles earlier this offseason, Tartt spent the first seven years of his NFL career with the Niners, racking up 367 tackles (265 solo), 21 tackles for loss, nine QB hits, four sacks, four interceptions, 18 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in 80 games (64 starts). In 14 regular season starts in 2021, the 30-year-old had 66 tackles (42 solo), five tackles for loss and a pass defensed. The veteran safety will now look for work on the open market.
