2 years agoNew England Patriots running back Ty Montgomery (ankle) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice. According to head coach Bill Belichick, Montgomery "should have a shot" to play in the Week 1 regular-season opener against the Miami Dolphins this Sunday. If he can log a full practice on Friday, it would increase the chances of Montgomery suiting up for Week 1. With James White retired, the 29-year-old could be a candidate to see an uptick in targets as an option on third down and other passing situations. If Montgomery is ruled out, look for Rhamondre Stevenson and Pierre Strong to see an uptick in pass-catching work on Sunday.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
