BALLER MOVE: Add in Deeper Leagues (or if need SB)
ANALYSIS:
2013 Statistics: 241 PA, .243/.321/.319, 1 HR, 26 Runs, 8 RBI, 18 SB
If you're hunting for a source of cheap speed, I highly suggest you turn your attention to the Houston Astros' shortstop Jonathan Villar (16% owned). He'll hurt you in batting average, as something in the .235 area is the most likely scenario for him. That said, he stole 18 bases in only 241 plate appearances last year, and I expect him to continue running at every opportunity in 2014. He can see Carlos Correa closing in on his position in the near future, and if he wants to solidify a place with the team (or any other team), he needs to prove his value this year. His best asset to do that with is his legs. Villar is a potential 35-40 steal guy this year if he can play his way to 500 plate appearances. If he is still available in your league, and you are looking for some cheap steals, add him off the waiver wire.
