Houston Texans fifth-round draft pick Keith Mumphery is expected to see a lot of playing time on Thursday Night Football against the Indianapolis Colts. The wide receiver will be asked to step up in a big way with Cecil Shorts (shoulder injury) and Nate Washington (hamstring injury) both doubtful for the game.
The Texans could end up in a shoot-out against the Colts, especially if quarterback Andrew Luck starts the game. This would mean Texans' quarterback Ryan Mallett would be asked to drop back and pass the football quite often. DeAndre Hopkins will see the bulk of the targets from Mallett on Thursday Night, but he'll have to find somebody else to throw to.
Mumphery has seemingly outplayed third-round pick Jaelen Strong in practice and is expected to see more playing time. However, Strong is worth keeping an eye on as well.
From a week 5 fantasy football perspective, don't start Mumphery or Strong against the Colts. But dynasty league owners may want to pick up both of these guys in case one of them breaks out.
