Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Julius Thomas has been spotted catching passes in practice. He is officially being listed as a limited participant, but it's a good sign that he's catching passes after missing the first quarter of the season with a hand injury.
Thomas has yet to be cleared for the Jaguars Week 5 contest against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, so it's unlikely he'll suit up for Sunday. However, it sounds like he has a very good chance to suit up for Week 6 when the Jaguars host the Houston Texans.
When Thomas does return, it's safe to put him into your starting lineups. But for the time being, keep an on his progression and don't dare drop him! If you've held onto him this long, you would be a fool to drop him when his return is on the horizon. In the meantime consider starting Browns tight end Gary Barnidge if you can still claim him. Other options include St. Louis Rams Jared Cook or even New England Patriots' Scott Chandler, who's become a favorite target of Tom Brady's in the red zone.
