Both wide receiver DeSean Jackson and tight end Jordan Reed have been ruled out for Week 5 against the Atlanta Falcons. Jackson has been dealing with a hamstring injury while Reed is recovering from a concussion.
With Jackson out of action, Jamison Crowder will continue to start opposite of Pierre Garcon. Crowder can be considered a nice WR3/FLEX option against the Falcons. Garcon can be considered a WR2.
Derek Carrier will start in place of Reed, who has been having a great season thus far. Carrier is not a recommended fantasy option. Leave him on the waiver wire for somebody else to waste a roster spot on. You'd be better off starting Baltimore Ravens rookie Maxx Williams. With Steve Smith Sr. ruled out for Week 5, Joe Flacco doesn't have many options in the passing game. That should mean several targets for Williams, who was considered an excellent receiving tight end coming out of college.
