Odell Beckham Jr. Should Be Ready For Big Performance Against Eagles

New York Giants fans and management were collectively holding their breath when star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. left Sunday night’s game against the San Francisco 49ers. Beckham suffered a hamstring issue and was forced to leave the game before returning in the fourth quarter.

The bad news is that a hamstring injury to a star receiver will always put concern in his ability to keep his play at a high level. The good news is his return to the lineup and expectations to participate in practice this week will make him a WR1 as per usual. New York plays the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night and Beckham’s upside is sky high as long as he’s on the field. Philadelphia gives up the third most fantasy points to wide receivers this season and WR1 studs have huge games against the weak secondary.

Beckham torched the Eagles last year in the final game of the season with twelve receptions for 185 yards and a touchdown. Barring a setback in practice, Beckham is a must start and could be considered a great contrarian play in daily fantasy with the fear of his injury limiting him. The matchup, team situation and his overall talent makes Beckham an elite play in Week 6.
