Tyrod Taylor Not Ruled Out Quite Yet

Despite reports to the contrary, the Buffalo Bills have not yet ruled out quarterback Tyrod Taylor in Week 6 against the undefeated Cincinnati Bengals. Although he's dealing with a sprained MCL, he is expected to practice on Wednesday.

At best it sounds like Taylor is questionable for Week 6. Even if he does play, he will not be at 100 percent. Taylor is a dual-threat quarterback who can hurt opposing defenses with his legs and his arms. However, a sprained MCL would likely hamper his running ability and give opposing defenses a chance to key on the Bills' passing game.

Rex Ryan obviously wants to make a splash by being the first team to defeat the Bengals this season, but he must be careful not to jeopardize the longterm health of his quarterback. At the end of the day, I expect the Bills to play it safe and let Taylor rest up. That would mean EJ Manuel would start for the Bills.

If Taylor does play, his injury makes him too risky to start in fantasy leagues. If Taylor doesn't play, ignore Manuel and leave him on the waiver wire - he doesn't have a future in Buffalo.
