ANALYSIS: If you missed out on West in last week's waiver-wire period, don't repeat that mistake again. If you can still get him in season-long leagues, do it.
West will never be confused with Jamaal Charles, the Kansas City Chiefs' stud four-time Pro Bowler that was lost to a season-ending ACL tear back in Week 5. But you wouldn't be able to tell from his fantasy production over the last two weeks. After rushing for 110 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries against the Pittsburgh Steelers, West tallied 97 yards and another score on 20 carries this past Sunday against the Detroit Lions. The workload is encouraging, as are the touchdowns. But West has also added 44 yards on six receptions over the last two games, giving him an additional bump in value, particularly in PPR leagues.
After Charles went down, it was initially thought that West and Knile Davis could split carries, but that simply hasn't been the case -- West has 51 carries over the last three games, compared to just 10 for Davis. With a healthy amount of opportunities and two standout performances on his resume, West has firmly entrenched himself as a solid RB2 moving forward.
