Doug Martin, Justin Forsett and Antonio Andrews Solid Options This Week

After three straight weeks of 100-plus yard production, Doug Martin has fallen back to Earth as the Muscle Hamster’s only amassed 102 yards in his last two games. Martin was benched for part of his Week 9 matchup because he couldn’t hang on to the ball, so he needs to prove his worth against a Dallas Cowboys defense that has struggled miserably to stop the run.

The Cowboys are allowing 111 rushing yards per game and have surrendered nine rushing touchdowns which ties for the third-most allowed in the NFL. The Buccaneers’ success this season has been because of the ground game. Tampa Bay averages 132 yards per game on the ground which ranks 7th in the NFL. The ability for Tampa Bay to run the ball has taken the pressure of quarterback Jameis Winston, and I don’t see the Bucs turning away from that blueprint just because Martin has had some recent struggles. There is definite upside for Martin this week.

Justin Forsett has averaged more than 13 fantasy points per game over the last five weeks, and now the Ravens will face the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars at home with an extra week of rest. Baltimore secured a much-needed win against the San Diego Chargers before the Week 9 bye, and the Ravens have a favorable matchup against a Jaguars team that has allowed more than 30 points per game over the last four weeks.

Jacksonville has been stingy against the run this year, but Forsett will be the workhorse and is sure to get plenty of touches. With the Jaguars surrendering so many points and the Ravens being thin at wide receiver, it wouldn't be surprising to see Forsett reach the end zone.

Antonio Andrews is officially the No. 1 running back in Tennessee after amassing 35 carries over the last two weeks. He’s also averaged nearly 10 fantasy points per game during that span, and he’s in for a favorable matchup against a Carolina Panthers defense that is in for a bit of a letdown this week.

Andrews will carry the load to help take the burden off quarterback Marcus Mariota, and that recipe worked well last week as he averaged 4.6 yards per carry and was equally involved in the passing game. He’s averaged 4.3 yards per carry as the starter, and the Titans now have some momentum after their upset overtime victory last week against the Saints.
