BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 39% of Fleaflicker Leagues
ANALYSIS: We all knew James White wouldn't be as good as Dion Lewis, but the pedestrian outing on Sunday afternoon had to be cause for concern for his fantasy owners. Let's take a closer look at why James White wasn't a factor against the Giants.
For one thing, the Patriots' offensive line has been battered by injuries so White was asked to help out in pass-blocking a lot. Obviously this takes him out of the equation on a lot of plays where he could be a receiving option. The weakened offensive line also hurt White in a different way, as there were a few plays where White was open and he could have picked up some solid yardage down the field.
Blount is obviously the number one back, but now with Edelman and Lewis out I think there is definite potential for some big games here. Brady likes to get the ball out quickly and that could mean some short dump-offs to White. Obviously this makes White more valuable in PPR leagues, but, if he can come anything close to what Lewis did, he will have standard league relevance as well.
