Breshad Perriman Has Torn PCL, T.J. Yeldon Expected to Play and Ameer Adullah Update

The Baltimore Ravens have confirmed that rookie wide receiver Breshad Perriman has a partially torn PCL. The injury has landed the receiver on the injured receiver and kept him of action for the entire season.

Coming out of UCF, Perriman was said to be a super talented speedster capable of scoring from anywhere on the field.

The Ravens offense has struggled mightily this year without a threat at the receiver position. Quarterback Joe Flacco has not been able to get anything going on offense because his receivers are average at best. Look for the Ravens to add another receiver or two this offseason either via free agency or in the draft.

In the meantime, dynasty league owners should hold onto Perriman. Hopefully he will start living up to his potential in 2016.

Jacksonville Jaguars running back T.J. Yeldon is expected to play on Thursday Night Football against the Tennessee Titans. All week he has been limited in practice and officially listed as questionable. However, Yeldon will work out pregame just to be sure he feels good enough to go.

I would consider the rookie a RB2 in Week 11. He has actually played really well this season. He has 531 yards on 133 carries for an average of four yards per carry. He also has one touchdown on the ground and one touchdown through the air to go along with 24 receptions and 125 receiving yards.

Yeldon has earned the respect of his coaches and is likely the Jaguars franchise back for the next few seasons unless he would suffer a major injury or start struggling horribly.

Don’t look now, but the Jaguars have one of the best young offenses in the entire NFL with Yeldon, Blake Bortles, Allen Robinson, Allen Hurns and Julius Thomas.

In other news, Detroit Lions rookie running back Ameer Abdullah has found himself in the dog house due to fumbling issues. Offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter clearly doesn’t trust Abdullah with the football in his hands and that’s because the rookie has already fumbled four times this season to go along with several other costly mistakes.

There have been times this season when Abdullah has flashed signs of greatness, but he must learn how to become a consistent performer. And he can’t expect to see the football field if he can’t hold onto the football.

Through nine games he has 240 yards on 68 carries and one touchdown on the ground. He also has 14 receptions for 120 yards and another touchdown through the air.
