Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte obviously doesn’t care much about his fantasy football owners. He has told the Chicago Tribune that he is willing to share carries with Jeremy Langford when he’s able to return from his knee injury.
"Jeremy has talent," Forte said. "He's done his job like he's supposed to ... I've constantly worked with him and continue to tell him what I know so he can be consistent."
Forte said he’d actually like to share carries because he believes it would help him stay healthy for the long-haul.
"I actually like it because now going forward I'm not going to have to play every single play or every down," he said. "So we can at least be healthy and be at full speed out there."
Langford has played great in Forte’s absence, but he’s still not as good as Forte. Langford has been averaging 3.5 yards per carry with 225 yards on 65 carries. He has four touchdowns on the ground. He has also added a touchdown in the receiving game with 12 catches for 210 yards.
Forte, however, is averaging four yards a carry this season with 548 yards on 136 rushes. He has two touchdowns on the ground and one touchdown in the receiving game with 25 receptions and 219 yards.
If Forte plays, he is a RB1 and Langford would be a low-end RB3. If Forte doesn’t play, Langford is a solid RB2.
New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has been put under the ref’s microscope for the remainder of the season. He currently leads the league with four offensive pass interference penalties. However, Gronk isn’t going to change the way he plays the game.
"I’m not sure what it is," he said. "I’m just going to keep playing how I’ve been playing, how I go out and practice and try and transition it to the games."
Gronk currently has 49 receptions for 806 yards and eight touchdowns. Needless to say, he’s a must start every single week.
In other news, Odell Beckham’s fantasy owners have been reaping the benefits of his many targets from quarterback Eli Manning. In fact, only Antonio Brown has seen more targets on third down.
Beckham is a WR1 week in and week out. He has 63 receptions for 863 yards and eight touchdowns thus far this season. Currently the Giants are on a bye, but he should shine in Week 12 against the Washington Redskins.
