Davante Adams Called Out, Emmanuel Sanders and Kendall Wright Likely to Play and Stedman Bailey Stable

Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy called out wide receiver Davante Adams following the team’s Thanksgiving night loss to the Chicago Bears. McCarthy wasn’t pleased with Adams’ performance to say the least.

"Didn’t have a very good day today," McCarthy said about Adams, according to Packers.com. "The consistency we’re getting in certain areas needs to pick up."

McCarthy blamed Adams for quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ one and only interception in the game.

"It’s a basic route,” McCarthy said. “It didn’t look like it was a very good route."

Adams had a few good games earlier in the season, but has really struggled as of late. Through eight games he has had 32 receptions for 322 yards. But blaming Adams for the Packers receiving woes isn’t fair. None of the Packers receivers have played very well as of late; that includes James Jones and Randall Cobb. And it’s not like Rodgers has been playing like his typical Pro Bowl self either.
Going forward, leave Adams on your bench when submitting your fantasy football lineups.

Both Emmanuel Sanders and Kendall Wright should be good to go on Sunday. Although still limited in practice on Thursday, Sanders has participated in back to back practices and is expected to play on Sunday night against the New England Patriots. Sanders currently has 46 receptions for 639 yards and four touchdowns.

As for Wright, he practiced in full on Thursday for the Tennessee Titans. Head coach Mike Mularkey confirmed that Wright will be “good to go” against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday. I would feel safe considering Wright a WR3 against the Raiders.

Through seven games this season, Wright has hauled in 28 passes for 343 yards and a touchdown. He will likely become a free agent this offseason and could be a hot commodity. With the right quarterback, Wright has the talent to put up huge numbers.

St. Louis Rams receiver Stedman Bailey is reportedly in stable condition after being shot in the head and hip in South Florida earlier in the week. Only God knows if Bailey will ever step foot onto a football field again, but that’s the least of anyone’s worries.

Just a couple days ago Bailey was in critical condition and his life was in jeopardy. The Rams, his teammates and all of his fantasy football owners should just be happy to hear that he is going to survive.

If you own him in any redraft leagues, you can drop him immediately.
