BALLER MOVE: Add in Deeper Leagues
OWNED IN: 28% of Yahoo! Leagues
ANALYSIS: 38-year-old Argentinian sixth man Manu Ginobili is not what he once was, and he's not what you'd call consistent, but on Tuesday night he reminded us he can still be a solid contributor. Manu scored 15 points, and added five rebounds, two assists, a steal, and a block against the Detroit Pistons; nothing to scoff at. He can still hit the deep ball too as he hit two shots from beyond the arc against Detroit, and has nine triples over his last five games.
The bad news here is that if you're going to invest in Ginobili, you have to expect the random rest days that come with the territory under Gregg Popovich. Not only that, but he also won't be playing heavy minutes either. However, if you're in a league deep enough to stomach that, Manu can be a nice player to add for some depth, since he qualifies at both guard and forward. The San Antonio Spurs are models of defense and passing so as long as he is in the game, he's also a good bet for some middling assist totals and even some steals. For reference, the two assists on Tuesday was his lowest total since before Christmas, and he's had at least one steal in all but one game over his last seven contests.
