Dee Gordon is Fantasy Baseball's Best Second Baseman for 2016

After a head-scratching trade sent him from the Los Angeles Dodgers to the Miami Marlins, Dee Gordon’s 2015 season was the best of any major-league second baseman. In just his second year as a big-league starter, Gordon finished with a .333 average, 205 hits, 24 doubles, eight triples and 58 stolen bases. His highly successful 2015 campaign rightfully earned him the five-year/$50 million contract extension he signed in January, ensuring Marlins fans that he’ll be around for at least the next few seasons.

Gordon’s .333 average and 58 stolen bases were easily the top marks of all MLB second basemen, and his 205 hits ranked first in the NL. Gordon was also one of only two second basemen to eclipse the 200-hit mark. He's been an NL All-Star in each of his first two seasons, and with a solid foundation and a new hitting coach in Barry Bonds, Gordon is primed to have another monster season in 2016. He should be considered the top second baseman in fantasy baseball.
