BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 31% of Fleaflicker Leagues
ANALYSIS: I liked what I saw last time out from Nathan Eovaldi. We all know about the big fastball. He can touch 100 mph regularly and blow hitters away. However, he's developed some off-speed pitches. His slider and splitter have been devastating when he locates them well, and he's been doing that a lot lately. He's won in all five of his most recent starts, racking up 25 strikeouts during this span.
Two of those starts were also against the Diamondbacks and Blue Jays, so Eovaldi was able to navigate around some tough lineups. The only thing capping Eovaldi's value is the fact that he pitches in the AL East. If he can keep pitching this way though, that shouldn't be a problem. He has been setting up his pitches well by using both sides of the plate and then changing the hitters' eye levels. He needs to be owned in more leagues.
