ANALYSIS: James Paxton felt good after a bullpen session on Aug. 13 and will hopefully be able to make his next scheduled start on Aug. 16 against the Angels. The issue here is some swelling in his elbow, the result of taking a come-backer to the arm which spoiled his bid for a complete-game shutout in his last start (also against the Angels). Even if he doesn’t end up facing the Angels again, he makes for a high-upside start.
