ANALYSIS: Mitch Haniger demolished his way through the minors, posting a monstrous .325/.423/.588 line with 24 dingers, 10 steals and a whopping 86 RBI across two levels. Now, in eight games with the Diamondbacks, the 25-year-old has gone 8-for-30 with two doubles, a triple and five RBI. No homers and no steals so far, but they will surely come. However, A.J. Pollock is soon to return and Yasmany Tomas isn’t going anywhere, so Haniger will have to overtake Michael Bourn in center field for a permanent role— which he should do if he continues to hit.
