ANALYSIS: Jared Goff came out of the gate scorching in Week 12 against the Saints, as he threw two touchdowns in the first half and actually had the lead over Drew Brees at one point. That lead, and his pace, quickly went by the wayside. He ended up collecting 214 yards alongside three touchdowns and two turnovers (one pick, one fumble). This was encouraging, for sure, but he’ll be nothing more than a QB2 dart throw next week against a Patriots defense that is quietly vulnerable.
