We have two slates today, as there is an early slate of five games and a late slate of 10 games. This article will include players from both slates, as they are both big enough to create lineups for.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 4/12/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on DraftKings.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings
Colorado Rockies vs Luis Perdomo
The Rockies continue to make an elite stacking option, especially when they are at home. They get an elite matchup against Perdomo tonight, and he looked awful against the Giants in his first start. The Rockies have a projected total of 6.6 runs, which is a full run higher than any other stack of the slate.
Texas Rangers vs Jesse Chavez
The Rangers are small underdogs in this game, which means they could make a sneaky stack. They are the underdogs because of their starting pitcher, not a lack of projected runs. They get a solid matchup against Chavez, who does not pitch deep into games, and the Rangers have loads of potential throughout their lineup, especially against relievers. They're a high upside stacking option.
DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings
Max Scherzer vs St. Louis Cardinals
Scherzer wasn't exactly his dominant self in his first start, but that was because he could not throw this offseason. He enters the game with an elite 11.4 K/9 and .969 WHIP. He gets somewhat of a tough matchup against the Cardinals, but he's a -195 favorite in a game set at only 7.5 runs. Scherzer is an elite option in all leagues.
Danny Salazar vs Chicago White Sox
Salazar was hit hard in his first game, but he was able to record nine strikeouts in only 5.2 innings of action. He gets a great matchup against the White Sox and Salazar is a -230 favorite in a game set at 8 runs. He's another elite option on this slate.
DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings
Catcher (C)
J.T. Realmuto - vs ATL ($3,600)
Catcher is sometimes a difficult position for hitters, but Realmuto is one of the best hitting catchers in the MLB. He also comes with surprising speed for the position. He gets a solid matchup against Garcia tonight, and Realmuto can be used in all leagues.
First Base (1B)
Wil Myers - at COL ($5,300)
Myers is the most expensive first baseman on the slate, and for good reason. He has dominated in Colorado throughout his career, and he gets an elite matchup against Freeland today. He's hitting in a favorable position in the lineup, and Myers can be used in all leagues.
Second Base (2B)
Cliff Pennington - vs TEX ($2,100)
Pennington is expected to draw the start tonight, and he has looked good in limited at-bats this season. He'll be hitting towards the end of the lineup, but he has played well against right-handed pitching in his career, and he is dirt cheap.
Shortstop (SS)
Starlin Castro - vs TB ($3,400)
Castro has gotten off to a hot start this season, and he will be playing in an extremely hitter friendly stadium tonight. He gets a good matchup against Snell, and Castro has played well against lefties throughout his career. He's a high upside option today.
Third Base (3B)
Mike Moustakas - vs OAK ($3,400)
Moustakas is the type of player that can always be considered against right-handed pitching. He has a .234 ISO and .139 wOBA differential against righties, and he gets a good matchup against Triggs tonight. Moustakas can be used in all leagues.
DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings
Nomar Mazara - at LAA ($3,500)
Mazara has been playing an elite level early this season, as he's hitting over .400 with tremendous power. He also has an elite .155 ISO and .091 wOBA differential against right-handed pitching. He gets a solid matchup against Chavez tonight, and Mazara can be used in all leagues.
Jay Bruce - at PHI ($3,700)
Bruce saw his value drop because of the second half of last season, but he has gotten back on track early this season. He has been an extremely consistent option with elite upside through his first few games. He gets a matchup against Velasquez, who struggled in his first start, and Bruce makes a great option.
